The FMX Music Literacy & Access Scholarship Program

The FMX Music Literacy & Access Scholarship Program

Changing Lives Through Music Education

Every student deserves the opportunity to experience the life-changing benefits of music education regardless of financial circumstances or learning differences.

Through the FMX Music Literacy & Access Scholarship Program, administered by FMX in partnership with LeGrand Music Studios, we remove barriers to comprehensive music education by providing scholarships for students who might otherwise never have the opportunity.

Unlike many scholarship programs that simply provide lessons, every scholarship recipient receives an education built upon music literacy—developing the ability to read, understand, and communicate through music regardless of the instrument they choose.

Our scholarships support students experiencing financial hardship, students with disabilities, and learners who benefit from individualized or adaptive instruction. By combining exceptional private instruction with a strong foundation in music literacy, we strive to develop confident, independent musicians who can enjoy music for a lifetime.

Why Music Literacy?

  • Most scholarship programs help students take lessons.
  • Ours helps students become musicians.
  • Every recipient learns to read, understand, and communicate through music regardless of the instrument they study.
  • Music literacy develops confidence, independence, creativity, and lifelong learning.

Through the generosity of our supporters, we're expanding access to music education while helping students build confidence, independence, and lifelong musical skills that strengthen individuals, families, and communities.
